1. Agreement to terms
By downloading, accessing, or using BlanketBuddy ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. BlanketBuddy is operated by Jessica Rogers ("we," "us," "our"), an individual based in Connecticut, United States.
2. What BlanketBuddy is — and isn't
BlanketBuddy provides blanket recommendations for horses based on weather conditions and care plan settings that you configure. BlanketBuddy's recommendations are guidance only, not a guarantee or substitute for your own judgment, observation of your horse, or advice from a veterinarian. You are solely responsible for decisions about your horse's care, including blanketing decisions, regardless of what BlanketBuddy recommends. Weather forecasts are provided by third-party services and may be inaccurate. Always use your own judgment and check on your horse directly.
We are not liable for any harm, injury, illness, or death to any horse, or any other loss, arising from your use of or reliance on BlanketBuddy's recommendations.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Subscriptions and payment
- BlanketBuddy offers a free trial period, followed by a paid subscription (monthly or annual, as shown in the App at the time of purchase).
- Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's own terms and payment policies in addition to these Terms.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Prices may change; we will provide notice as required by applicable law and Apple's policies.
- We do not provide refunds directly — all refund requests are handled through Apple.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose, attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the App, use the App to store or transmit information you don't have the right to share, or attempt to circumvent subscription/payment mechanisms.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the information you enter into BlanketBuddy. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that information back to you as part of providing the service.
7. Intellectual property
The BlanketBuddy name, logo, design, and underlying software are owned by us and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
BlanketBuddy is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recommendations will always be accurate or timely.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, harm to animals, or other losses arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App and cancel your subscription at any time.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
